Napier Aero Engines
1961 New company established Napier Aero Engines owned equally by D. Napier and Son (a subsidiary of English Electric Co) and Rolls-Royce. The company would make the Gazelle and Eland aero-engines. The London factories of D. Napier and Son would be operated by the new company[1]
1962 Rolls-Royce agreed to integrate Napier's Gazelle aero-engine activities with its own aero-engine work; they continued to market the Gazelle, dropping the Eland; the Acton works was closed[2].
