1896 The New Seddon Pneumatic Tyre and Self-Closing Tube Company Limited was incorporated.[1] The new enterprise took over and revived the business of the International Pneumatic Tyre Co Limited. The company had share capital of £125,000 and planned to carry on the two branches of the business, the manufacture of Seddon tyres and the manufacture of self-closing tubes, in the same premises.[2]

1899 The company was succeeded by the Gorton Rubber Co.
