1867 Partnership dissolved. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Samuel Augustus Nichols and William Thomas Ashton, carrying on business in copartnership as Cotton Manufacturers, at Over Darwen, in the county of Lancaster, under the firm of Nichols and Ashton, was this day dissolved by mutual consent, as on and from the 12th day of September last; and that all debts due or owing to or by the said late partnership are to be received and paid by the said William Thomas Ashton, who will in future carry on the said business at the same place...'[1]
