LIEUTENANT-COLONEL NORMAN ARTHUR DENSON died on December 27, 1935, aged 42, at Las Palmas, where he had gone for the benefit of his health.

He was a partner in the firm of Messrs. Poppleton and Appleby, who have been accountants to the Institute of Metals ever since its inception in 1908.

Mr. Demon went to Birmingham in 1920, and shortly afterwards he became attached to the 48th South Midland Division R.A.S.C. (T.A.) of which he took command about 1923: During the War he served with the East Kent Regiment.

Mr. Denson was elected a member of the Institute of Metals on October 30, 1930.
