1922 Eng.-Lt., R.N. (retd.), D.S.C., Mar. Supt., South Indian Railway. Co.; b. 1890; s. of W. T. Seaton, Chief Examiner of Engrs., B.O.T. Ed. Parmiter's Foundation and Nutton Abbas Grammar Schs. Training: East London and King's Coils., London. Served as Pupil and subsequently Draughtsman with Yarrow and Co.; Engr. Officer in Mercantile Marine, and on the outbreak of War obtained Commission in the Royal Navy; on Active Service in Gallipoli as Engr. Officer in charge of machinery of Motor Lighters; in charge of the upkeep of submarine patrol boats, etc., in the Eastern Mediterranean, France, etc.; served with the Grand Fleet, and as Engr. Officer of one of the K class of Submarines; is submarine Supt. to the S.I. Railway. Co., and in charge of their Cross Channel Service between Ceylon and the Mainland of India.
