North British Cold Storage and Ice Co

1898 The company was incorporated as a public company, with capital of £75,000, 'for the purpose of carrying on the business of ice manufacture and cold storage in Edinburgh and Leith and in the East of Scotland generally'.[1] The company had 100,000 cubic feet of cold storage at its disposal.
1938 The whole of the company's shares were purchased by William Milne Limited, cold storage contractors and ice manufacturers, of Glasgow.[2]
1997 The company, now trading as North British Cold Stores Limited, was dissolved.
