1881 The company was registered on 9 July.

1889 Reported to be turning out about 132,000 tons of steel per annum. [1]

1896 On 1 January, acquired the business of the Acklam Iron Co. [2]

1903 Became part of Dorman, Long and Co.

1919?-16 Five locomotives (all 0-4-0ST) built. [3]

1923 Dorman Long's subsidiary companies were liquidated and the assets transferred to the parent[4]
