North Town Bridge, Taunton

From Graces Guide
2015

Crosses the River Tone in the centre of Taunton.

In 1895 a three-span wrought-iron girder bridge supported on cylindrical cast-iron columns was constructed to replace a masonry bridge. In 1936-8 the girders and deck were replaced by steel, but the cast-iron parapets and lamp standards were re-used.[1]
