Northampton and Peterborough Railway

The Northampton and Peterborough Railway was an early railway promoted by the London and Birmingham Railway to run from a junction with that line at Blisworth to Northampton and Peterborough. The Northampton and Peterborough Railway Act received the Royal Assent in 1843

John Brogden and Sons built part of the line from Oundle to Peterborough. They also doubled the line from Oundle to Peterborough (contracted 11 Dec 1845).

1845 The line opened.
