1924 Northern Coasters Limited was registered as a private company, with capital of £3,000, to carry on the business of shipowners, steamship managers, etc.[1]

By 1986 was owned by Stena Rederi AB of Sweden; the company's business was the chartering of its vessels and ship management.

1989 Name changed to Stena Offshore Ltd

1995 Name changed to Coflexip Stena Offshore Ltd
