1971 Died. 'Lt-Col Ogilvie Blair Graham, who has died suddenly at his Stratford-on-Avon home, was a Deputy Lieutenant for Co. Down. Lieut.-Col. Graham moved, to England in 1968 after giving up the family home, at Lisburn. Aged 80, he was a former managing director of the defunct York Street Flax Spinning Company, He was educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Oxford, and obtained his commission in the Rifle Brigade in 1912, later serving in World War I. He saw action on the Western Front, was mentioned in despatches, and awarded the Companionship of the Distinguished Service Order. On his retirement from the Army in 1935, Lieut.-Col. Graham, who was also awarded the OBE, was made Lieut.-Col., and ten years later was appointed a DL for Co. Down. A former member of the Ulster Unionist Council, he resigned as a managing director of the spinning company in November 1959.'[1]
