c1919 The firm was founded by Frederick John Osborn with Norman Frederick Wood

Post WWI. The company built a 499cc single and a 998cc V-twin machines, with Blackburne engines, for Burney and Blackburne. They did not appear as manufacturers in their own right until 1922.

1922 March. Mention of the Osborn Engineering Co's works at Lees lane, Gosport.

1930 Frederick John Osborn is stated to be the managing director of the Osborn Engineering Co.

1931 November. Auction of assets by Receiver. '...Osborn Engineering Co., Ltd., Gosport, Hants. 1951 October. Advertisement gives O.E.C. Ltd., of Atlanta Works, Stamshaw Road, Portsmouth.

1954 Motorcycle production ended
