Successor to Osram, part of GEC

1986 OSRAM-GEC was formed as a joint undertaking between GEC, who owned 51 percent, and OSRAM GmBH (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Siemens), who owned the remaining 49 percent. Not only did this return the rights of the Osram trademark to the German company but it also allowed the considerable technological innovations of the company to be exploited in the British market.

1999 of East Lane, Wembley, Middlesex.[1]

2016 Renamed Ledvance Ltd of Warrington, which allowed the business to concentrate on its core general lighting and illumination business. It remained a subsidiary of OSRAM Licht AG.[2]
