1939 Died. 'he death has taken place at 40, Kimberley-road, Penylan, Cardiff, of Mr. Octavius Sidney Hosgood, formerly superintendent engineer at the Cardiff Power Station. After serving some time at sea he became manager of one of the Barry dry docks, and in 1901 was appointed superintendent engineer under the Cardiff Corporation for the erection of the new power station, which was built under his supervision. He remained under the Cardiff Corporation until his retirement in 1936. For some years he was chairman of the social committee of the Cardiff Corporation, and for many years he served as treasurer of the Welsh Terrier Association and a kennel club judge. He leaves a son and two daughters.'[1]
