1922 Assoc.M.Inst.C.E., F.R.G.S., Chief Surveyor, Northern Rhodesia, c/o McNish and Co., 2, Copthall Buildings, London, E.C.2.; b. 1868. Ed. and Professional Training: Crystal Palace Engineering School; Pupil and Assistant, Best and Sons, Consulting Engineers, Westminster. Professional Career: After 3 years' Sanitary Engineering in England, France and Italy went to Nyasaland, then British Central Africa, in 1892, and has since then been engaged on surveying and mapmaking in East Central Africa. Was 5+ years Surveyor of the Cape Cairo Telegraph line, then Assistant Surveyor of North-Western Rhodesia, Chief Surveyor of North-Western Rhodesia, and now Chief Surveyor of Northern Rhodesia.
