OVIDE F. DOMON was born in 1861, and received his education at Geneva.

In 1880 he worked with Messrs. Siemens at Paris, and for a time was also assisting the Edison firm in the same city.

From 1884 he assisted the Oerlikon Company, becoming in 1895 chief of the electrical department.

In 1897 he went to Lourenco Marques to superintend the erection and running of lighting plant. On his return to London he became resident consulting engineer to the Oerlikon Company in 1900.

In 1903 he went to Kuala Lumpur, in the Malay States, and was there at the time of his death in August, 1911.

He was elected a Member of the Institution in 1903, and was also a member of the Swiss Association of Electrical Engineers.
