1972 Had established subsidiaries in Scandinavia and France; acquired Dennison Kett, makers of fire doors and shutters, with factories in London and Bristol[4]
1978 Acquired Shutter Contractors of Enfield, whose roller doors replaced the company's existing products[5]
1982 Acquired Normand Electrical Holdings, maker of electric motors and gearboxes, a supplier of Hendersons[6], and County Home Improvements, maker of wooden doors[7]
1983 Henderson Access Control Systems bought CIC, a US security business[8]
1985 Henderson Group's, P C Henderson company, acquired Abru Holdings, ladder maker of Launceston, Cornwall[9]
1987 FKI Electricals acquired Normand Electrical from Henderson Group, which would concentrate on manufacturing garage doors, aluminium ladders and security systems[10]
1988 Hepworth Ceramic Holdings acquired Henderson Group, garage door manufacturers[11]
1992 New factory opened at Bowburn, County Durham[12]
1992 Hepworth introduced new products at its Bowburn factory
