P. and J. McGregor of Falcon Works, Poland Street, Manchester.
1850 Listed in Slater's 1850 Directory as Peter & James M’Gregor, machine makers, Falcon Works, Poland Street, Oldham Road, Manchester. The 1849 O.S. map [1] shows the 'Falcon Works (Iron)' located behind the White Lion on Poland Street. The eastern end of the factory was immediately adjacent to a branch of the Rochdale Canal. The main building was approx 145 ft by 45 ft.

1875 Liquidation? of the business of Peter and James McGregor as machine makers of Falcon Works, Poland Street, and as iron founders of Pott Street, Ancoats [3]
1925 Falcon Works in use by the Northern Winding Co.[4]
