1917 Arthur L. Parker founded the Parker Appliance Company in Cleveland, Ohio, with his business partner, Carl Klamm. In the early days, the company built pneumatic brake systems for trucks, trains, buses and industrial machinery, as well as leak-free fittings for the pioneers of aviation.

1957 Acquired the Hannifin company, Parker Hannifin established able to supply all of the components in a fluid power system.

c.1969 Established in the UK
