Paul Georges Leon Jezzi (1876-1948) was an early aviator
1876 Born in Ghent, Belgium.
1889 Naturalised as a child with his siblings and mother. Subject of Italy.
1910 'Mr. Jezzy, who was one of the earliest flying men to settle in Sheppey, with a bi-plane of his own design and construction, at last achieved a well-deserved measure of success. For the past week or so he had been making extended flights along the straight, but on the day named he flew the first of three circuits of the aerodrome - over three miles in extent - towards qualifying for the pilot’s certificate....Mr. Jezzy is said to be dissatisfied with the present make up of his flyer, and it is rumoured this week that he intends to shift the engine forward, put the two screws in front of the main planes and rig up his seat in a rearward position'[1]
1910 Gained his British aviator's certificate #44 at Eastchurch flying a Jezzi biplane
1911 Residing at 201 Widmore Road, Bromley, Kent: Paul Georges Leon Jezzi (age 34 born Belgium - naturalised British), Cigarette Paper Merchant and employer. With his wife Olive Mary, two daughters and two sons.[2]
1939 Residing at St Catherine Priory, Guildford, Paul G. L. Jezzi, Company director.[3]
1940 Married to Alice E. Waydelin
1948 Died at Albury, Surrey[4]
