Percival James Packman (1900-1989)

1900 Born in London, son of John Packman, electrical apprentice

1901 Lived in Shepherd's Bush, London; also in the house was his father and his mother, Agnes Packman 28, and Reginald Packman 1, and John's brother, Percival James Packman 25, electrician apprentice[1]

1931/2 Three patents with William Oscar Heyne and the Plessey Co on "Improvements in or relating to electrical condensers" and related topics; Packman's address was Seven Kings, Essex. These were followed by further patents with Heyne and Plessey Co on a number of related subjects.

1939 Chief Mechanical Designer lived in Chigwell with Elsie A I Packman[2]

1941 Patent on "Improvements in skein holders for wool winding"

1943 Patent with L. H. Whatley and Frederick George Miles on "Improvements in or relating to teat cups for milking machines"

Followed by many more patents. Later patents were with Smart and Brown Engineers Ltd, Leeford London Ltd, Packman Machinery Ltd, Stewarts and Lloyds Ltd, amongst others.

1945 Presumably established Modern Designs research and development engineers which then led onto Packman Machinery

1989 Died in Twyford[3]
