PERCY HAROLD PEEL, after receiving his technical education at Halifax Technical College, was apprenticed to the Campbell Gas Engine Company of Halifax in 1897, and subsequently became assistant chief draughtsman.

In 1909 he joined Messrs. Davey, Paxman and Company as chief of the designing department for gas and oil-engines, and five years later was appointed manager for the Keighley Gas and Oil Engine Company, and, in the following year, a director.

In 1923 he joined Messrs. Vickers-Petters, with whom he remained until his death on 8th July 1928, first as Yorkshire representative, then as assistant sales manager at Ipswich, and afterwards in charge of the contracts.

He became an Associate Member of the Institution in 1923, and was 44 years of age when he died.
