1914 'THE RECENT Scottish motor cycle reliability trials had a sequel before Sheriff Sym at Perth Sheriff Court yesterday when one of the competitors was charged with reckless driving. The accused was Percy William Bischoff, wearing a clerical collar, who resides in Bristol. He was charged with having, in Main Street, Pitlochry, driven a motor bicycle with sidecar attached at a speed which was dangerous to the public. Bischoff tendered a plea of not guilty. It was said in court that Bischoff yelled at the large crowd present to get out of the way and made them scatter in all directions.'[2]
