Plessey Controls

1969 At the behest of government, Plessey took over the numerical controls businesses of Ferranti and Racal (which was the Airmec-AEI business) and Diac. These were merged to form Plessey Controls.

Late 1980s Plessey acquired (parts of ) Fisher Controls to supplement Plessey Controls' expertise in the field of environmental systems and nucleonics, and of Nash Engineering's interests in aerospace.[1]
