1804 Died. John Jacobs, Master of the Falcon Inn, North Street, and son of Mr. Jacobs who has for many years kept the Plume of Feathers Inn at the foot of St. David's Hill'[1]

1834 Mr Ash is Landlord.[2]

1851 Living at the Plume of Feathers, Exeter: James L. Tapper (age 62 born St. David's, Exeter), Innkeeper. With his wife Mary.[3]

1864 Henry Elmore (late of the Plume and Feathers) has moved to the London and South Western Hotel, Upper Paul Street, Exeter.[4]
