1921 Private company formed as Pneulec Machine Co. Ltd.

1923 The "Pneulec" Machine Co completed its new works in Mafeking-road, Smethwick.[1]

1926 January - Purchased the constructional plant of Thwaites Brothers of Bradford, and the plant was transferred to its Smethwick Works, where considerable extensions were carried out.[2]

1926 Name changed.

1936 Birmid Industries founded; incorporated Pneulec[3].

1961 Foundry equipment manufacturers. [4]
