1876 Partnership change. '...the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us the undersigned, Jabus Stanley James, Charles Robert Western, and James Alston Carfrae, as Mechanical Engineers, under the firm of Powis, James, Western, and Company, at Victoria Works, Vine-street, and Belvedere-road, Lambeth, in the county of Surrey, has been this day dissolved by mutual consent, so far as regards the said Jabus Stanley James; and that the business will in future be carried on by the said Charles Robert Western and James Alston Carfrae alone, at Victoria-Works...'[1]
