1895 Description of their new sawing, planing and moulding mills. The article gave an account of the firm's history: established in 1736 as Price and Son, the founder being Morgan Price. It later became Price and Washbourn, and in 1884 became Price, Walker & Co (Charles Walker had been taken into partnership in 1849). The new mill was built adjacent to the works of Summers and Scott, who provided a 250 HP tandem compound Corliss engine. The woodworking machinery was supplied by Thomas Robinson and Son.[1]
