1924 Proposal for building the road. 'I am glad that the Inspector the Ministry of Transport who held yesterday's inquiry rather wet blanketted the scheme. It is proposed, by the scheme, to construct a new road from New North (or Cowley) road along the Streatham Hall drive, to Hoopern-lane, widen this, and link up with Pennsylvania and Union roads.'[1]
