Princetown Railway

This 10.5 mile line was built on the track-bed of the defunct Plymouth and Dartmoor Railway and ran from Yelverton on to Dartmoor. [1]

1878 The company was incorporated.

1883 The line, 10.25 miles long, was opened in August and is to be worked in perpetuity by the Great Western Railway. [2]

1923 Became part of the Great Western Railway. [3]
