Richard Charles Bishop, traded as R. C. Bishop and Son. Playing on the name, their trade mark was a picture of a Roman Catholic bishop, with a “son” dressed like another bishop in miniature.

1880s The business was in financial difficulty, as were other organ builders during the Depression; it was rescued by organ builder (and shareholder) E. H. Suggate and managed to maintain higher production levels than some of its competitors[1].
