Born the son of William Kitching

1903 Died. 'The death occurred yesterday at Mellwood, Road, Sharrow, of Mr. Richard Churchill Kitching, who for very many years was connected with the firm Thomas Turton and Sons, first as secretary, and afterwards as director. Owing to failing health he retired a year or two ago, after a successful and honourable commercial career. Mr. Kitching was a prominent member of St Andrew's, Sharrow, where for eight years he was churchwarden. He devoted much attention the Athenaeum Club in George Street, of which was for many years a director, and afterwards a vice-president. He was 74 years of age. '[1]
