1935 Private company R. Goodwin and Sons (Engineers) Ltd was incorporated to acquire the business of R. Goodwin and Sons.

1958 Public company.

1961 General engineers, iron, steel and spheroidal graphite iron, heat resisting alloy, iron and steel castings and builders of special purpose machinery. 400 employees.[1]

1965 Acquired Hoben Davis Ltd.

1977 EGM held at the offices of Hoben Quarries Ltd, Brassington.

1981 Name changed to Goodwin Ltd and then to Goodwin PLC.
