1965 Obituary [1] 'We regret to record the death, on December 24, 1964, of Mr. R. J. Burrell, works manager of the Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan factory of Hoover Ltd. Mr. Burrell, who was born in 1924, joined Hoover Ltd. as a graduate trainee and during his training with the company studied at Pennsylvania University. He went to Merthyr Tydfil as a technical assistant in the plant department, of which he subsequently became chief. Appointments as assistant production manager and materials manager followed, and in November, 1964, Mr, Burrell became works manager.'
