1895 The company was registered on 6 July, to acquire the business of the firm of the same name, leather dressers. [1]
c1900 The firm employed about 60 people in the factory at Woodstock, in Oxfordshire, and 150-200 people in neighbouring villages. These were probably cottage workers employed for sewing. [2]
