Raffaele Bettini ( -1915)

1916 Obituary [1]

Commendatore RAFFAELE BETTINI died at Rome on September 24, 1915. For many years he had been associated with the Terni Steel Works, having held first the position of Technical Director, and later that of Director-General of the whole establishment.

Mr. Bettini was a man of exceptional ability and activity, and his technical attainments included a minute knowledge of every particular relating to the conduct of the huge establishment of which he had the charge. Under his able direction the steelworks at Terni made rapid and continuous progress, reaching a high degree of development and technical perfection.

He was a Councillor of the Society of Italian Metallurgists and was elected a member of the Iron and Steel Institute in 1903.
