1851 Ralph Dodds 56, plasterer, employing 58 men, lived in Newcastle with Margaret Dodds 47[2]

1853 He was elected Mayor of Newcastle

1874 Died in Newcastle

  • NB there were several people with similar name in the area at this time; another Ralph Dodds was chief viewer at the Grand Alliance colliery.
