1919 The Saint Vincent Tank Company Limited of 3a Rae Street, Port Dundas, Glasgow, was incorporated as a private company, with capital of £7,000, to take over the business of Saint Vincent Tank Co, sheet metal workers, carried on by John Allan at that address.[1] It is not clear at what point or under what circumstances the company name changed to Ramage, Whitehead and Company Limited.
