1962 According to a company announcement, the Regent Refining Company Limited had been incorporated in the United Kingdom to build a petroleum refinery with capacity of between 80,000 and 100,000 barrels. The new refinery was being built primarily to supply petroleum products to the Regent Oil Co Ltd, which marketed throughout the country and was jointly owned by Texaco Inc and the California Texas Oil Corporation.[1]
