1938 'The founder of the firm was Mr. W. F. Reynolds, who died in 1914, when he was succeeded by his sons, Messrs. W. R. and O. Reynolds. Expansion of business necessitated enlargement of the original shop, the boundaries of which are marked by iron studs. What was Messrs. Reynolds' showroom used to be the garden. The balance of stock will be transferred to their branches in Red Lion-street, Richmond, which is 55 years old, and which is being continued on a temporary tenancy, and at St. Margarets.'[2]

1938 At 12, George-street, recently vacated by Messrs. Reynolds and Co., where permanent premises will shortly be erected for Martins Bank.[3]
