Richard Bright

From Graces Guide

Richard Bright (1754-1840) was the son of Henry Bright of Bristol and Sarah Meyler. Henry Bright was a 'merchant' involved in slave-trading and slave-ownership.

Richard Bright was deemed to be the legal heir of the landed property in England and Wales and the Jamaican estates of his second cousin, once removed, Richard Meyler of Crawley House.

Bright was a partner in the John Freeman and Copper Co, Lowbridge and Richard Bright, Cave, Ames & Cave, and Bright, Baillie and Bright (with Evan Baillie).
