1935 photo of the impressive 'hide, skin and fat' market hall here. It can also be seen near the top LH corner of this 1938 aerial photo. The 1916 O.S. map shows that the hall was located immediately east of the River Irwell and south of Regent Road at Regent Bridge. Access was from Regent Road and Water Street.[1]. The building was not shown on the 1894 map.
