c1909 Born the son of Frank Shuttleworth and his wife Dorothy

1930s Richard Shuttleworth began his collection of old aircraft and vehicles, bringing them back to Old Warden Park to restore.

1940 Died flying in the RAF, 'one of the best known airman and racing drivers in the country, has been killed in a flying accident near Oxford'. Chairman of Railton Cars [1]

After his death, his mother Dorothy continued adding to the collection.
