1914 Obituary [1]

RICHARD PROVIS, born at Camborne in 1862, died at Brighton on the 25th April, 1913.

After gaining extensive experience of mining in Cornwall, he went out to Tasmania as Mining Engineer and Manager to the Tasmanian Land and Exploration Company, Limited, and subsequently acted in a similar capacity for the United Australian Exploration Company, Limited, and for the Orsk Goldfields Company in Russia.

Mr. Provis was elected an Associate Member of The Institution on the 6th December, 1887.
