1851 Census: Ironfounder, lodging at 26 High Street, Stockport. Age 32. Born in Manchester.

1854 March 20th. Patent. Richard Roberts, of Heaton Norris, machine maker, and George Coppock, of the same place, manager, for certain improvements in looms for weaving [1]

1857 September 1st. Patent. Richard Roberts, of Heaton Norris, machine maker, and Wright Shaw and Samuel Shaw, both of Gee Cross, weavers, for improvements in machinery for weaving and folding fabrics. [2]
