Career: Ship engineering experience, 1922-5; Diploma 1923; Cambridge Univ. 1926-8; De Havillands Aircraft Co., Ltd., 1928-31; obtained Ground Engr's Licences; with Major Frank B. Halford; 1931-5; with D. Napier and Son, Ltd. since 1935. Inventor of Rotary valve.
