Ridley Shaw and Co of Middlesbrough were light engineers and locomotive builders

Formerly Thomas D. Ridley and Sons

1925 'Ridley, Shaw and Co., Limited (208197). Reg. Sept. 2nd, 1925. To take over the business of an engineer, manufacturer and repairer of steel and iron work carried on at North Ormesby, Middlesbrough, as “Thomas D. Ridley and Sons.”'[1]

1927 'A fire which broke out on Friday at the workshops of Messrs. Ridley, Shaw and Co, Ltd., general engineers and repairers, in Louisa Street, North Ormesby, did considerable damage to a wooden and corrugated iron building and electrical stores.'[2]
