1891 Living at 102 Pembroke Road, Clifton, Bristol: Robert Brodie (age 77 born Scotland), Retired Civil Engineer. With his wife Dorothy.[1]

1893 Died at Bristol. 'The death is announced of Mr. Robert Brodie, C.E. of Clifton, at an advanced age. Mr. Brodie was deputy to Brunel, the famous engineer, during the construction of the South Wales section of the present Great Western Railway between Carmarthen and Milford.'[2]
