1889 Dissolution of partnership between Robert Holliday, Cyrus Holliday, and Henry Holliday, under the firm of Robert Holliday and Sons, at East and West Ardsley, in the West Riding of the county of York, as Colliery Owners; the same business has been and will in future be carried on under the firm of Robert Holliday and Sons by the said Cyrus Holliday and Henry Holliday, in partnership with Ezra Holliday and John Holliday[1]

1921 A sample of an early type of rail was recovered from one of their spoil tips and later presented to the Science Museum

1931 Combined with Crawshaw and Warburton Ltd as Crawshaw and Holliday[2]

1956 A General Meeting of members of Robert Holliday & Sons Limited held at 5, Park Square, Leeds, 1, on Thursday, the 5th day of April, 1956, for the purpose of having an account laid before them by the Liquidator showing the manner in which the winding-up of the said Company has been conducted, and the property of the Company disposed of[3]. A General Meeting of the Members of Crawshaw & Holliday Limited held at 5, Park Square, Leeds 1, on Tuesday, the 2nd day of October, 1956, for a similar purpose[4]
