1843 Advertisement for sale by auction, 26 September 1843, on the premises in occupation by Mr Robert Oram, Engineer and Machinist, 6 John Street, Salford, a superior new iron planing machine on Collier's plan, with capacity to act on a plane 18 ft long by four feet wide [1]

1846 Death notice: 'On the 14th. inst., aged 61, at his residence, Hambden Cottage, Lower Broughton, Mr. Robert Oram, machine maker.'[2]
